Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or clean smart casual, with collared shirt and neat shorts/slacks. No tank tops or singlets

A Reminder that Port City greens and spectator areas are smoke free.

After the overnight and morning rain cleared the semi finals of the major/minor pairs finally got under way. Don Ramsay/Phil Baker def Jack Lewis/ Paul Jacobsen and Mark Parry/Paul Webster def Chris Thornton/Greg Brims.

In the final Don Ramsay and Phil Baker were successful defeating Paul Webster/Mark Parry 21-10

Annual green renovation is under way which means Wednesday and Friday bowls will be triples and depending on numbers Thursday could also include triples.

In the club challenge Men’s Gold had a walk over, Men’s silver lost to Woolgoolga and Mixed Gold defeated Wollgoolga. I’m not sure what happens next.

Thanks to everyone involved with Bowls for Boobs which raised over $4000.

Pennants 2018 – It has been confirmed start date will be 28th April. The format ( 6-8-10 week) is yet to be confirmed. We have to give an indication to zone 14 by 15th January 2018 of our player list. Please complete the form at the bowls kiosk and place in the box provided.

In the NSW state triple championships currently being held at Ettalong Memorial B.C. zone 14 is represented by Bryce Stewart – Callum Murray and Jack Lewis.

Melbourne Cup Day Tuesday November 7th. We will be having mixed triples from 10 am to 12.30 pm. Nibbles provided and prizes to be won. Entry fee is$10.Entry forms are available at the kiosk.

Saturday 28th October, we are entertaining approx. 35 bowlers from Telarah B.C. It will be mixed, with lunch followed by bowls at 1 pm. See the sheet on the board.

Presentation Day is set for 16th December. Further details as we get closer to the time.

The PCMBC bowls calendar for October/November is on the notice board.

Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm.  Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Wiggly Tail Butchery. Also club ltd badge draw at 7 and 8 pm currently stands at $4000
