Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or clean smart casual, with collared shirt and neat shorts/slacks. No tank tops or singlets

A Reminder that Port City greens and spectator areas are smoke free.

In the major / minor pairs the semi finals are Phil Baker V Jack Lewis and Greg Brims V Mark Parry. The s/f will be played on Saturday 21 October am, and the final in the afternoon.

Pennants 2018. It is a long way off ( April 2018) but the chairman of selectors ( Sir Robert Crombie) has asked ALL intending players to complete the nomination forms so all bowlers can be registered with the royal. Even if you can only play part of the season.


Mixed pairs entries close 16/10 with the 1st and 2nd rounds to be played on Sunday October 22nd.  


Congratulations to Callum Murray ( singles ) and Jack Lewis (triples) on their selection to play for the Country under 25’s versus City to be played at Cabramatta on November 4/5. 


Twilight bowls starts Thursday 19th October at 6pm and will run for 6 weeks. Cost is $10 per person per week. Contact Phil for further details.

Club LTD – As the original ballot was declared null and void a new ballot is required. This will take place starting Friday October 6th and continue until Thursday October 12th. The original 6 candidates will stand so please don’t forget to vote. Voting times are 11 – 1 pm and 4 – 6 pm.


Bowls for Boobs – raising awareness for breast cancer. This will be held Friday October 13th starting at 6 pm and continue through Saturday 14 th October finishing at 6 pm. “ Jack Knockers V Bowls Bazookas”. 24 teams are required at $75 per team, register at reception. There will be lots of giveaways and prizes.

The PCMBC bowls calendar for October/November is on the notice board.
Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm. Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Wiggly Tail Butchery. Also club ltd badge draw at 7 and 8 pm currently stands at $3000.

Friday: Winners ($15) Al Baker – Ross Kafer. Runners Up ($10) John Hrabak – Ken Paulsen. Lucky Losers ($7) Graeme Lees – Brian Collis. Tom Cornforth (welcome back to bowls Tom) and Lee Pearson won the $420 jackpot.
