LAKE CATHIE MEN’S BOWLING NEWS   WEEK ENDING SUNDAY 22ND OCTOBER

Winning through to the next round of the Mixed Pairs Championship this week were the teams of Fiona Brassey and Ron Allen, Ros and Des Hancox, Ester and Bill Bailey, Dorothy Lynch and Phil Smith, Joye Grimshaw and Glenn Tiley, Helene and John White, Vera and Dennis Hamilton and Anne Wilson and Geoff Worley. Good luck in the next round.

The first game of the Mixed Fours Championship is to be played next Friday.

The annual Lake Cathie versus the village people from Dahlsford is on Sunday 29th October. Get your names in for a fun day of mufti mixed triples. For $17 included is your game, raffles, nibbles and a Sunday roast. Morning tea at 0900 with a 0930 start.

The jackpot went off on Saturday but keep in mind that on Monday this week the jackpot is worth $514 and if it does not go off, will be even higher next week. Thursday’s jackpot is over $1,000. Wouldn’t that be nice coming up to Christmas!

Last Monday Helene and John White teamed up with Doug Rose to take the winning rink prizemoney with Mary and Russell Simmonds and Peter Harris the lucky loser’s.

Thursdays winners were Gary Knox, Mike O’Neill and Dennis Hamilton, runners up were Kerry Deas, Vic Hayhurst and Brett Meyers while the lucky losers were Bill Sullivan, Bruce Doyle and Bruce Cooper.

On Saturday Frank Ryan and Phil Smith were grinners. Des Hancox and Chica Batts were happy to lose.
