LAKE CATHIE MEN’S BOWLING CLUB
WEEK ENDING SUNDAY 29TH OCTOBER
Dahlsford Village will hold the Shield until next year after beating Lake Cathie in the annual battle on today. There were calls for a re-count which were ignored by Ron Freeman who is now a Dahlsford resident. It was a fun day enjoyed by everyone. Jeez! How quickly people change their allegiance.

Helene and John White, Anne Wilson and Geoff Worley, Vera and Dennis ‘Not another forfeit’ Hamilton together with Ros and Des Hancox are through to the fourth round of the Mixed Pairs Championship. Well done and good luck in the next round.

In the Mixed Fours Championships, the teams skipped by Steve Smith, Frank Ryan, Des Hancox and Geoff Worley are through to the second round. Well done once again.

Ron Morris, Dick ‘ Magic-arm’ Engel and Ivan Bozanic were last Monday’s winners with Peter Slattery, Ken Taylor and John Morgan the ‘lucky losers’.

On Thursday not only did Glenn Tiley and ‘Unlucky’ Steve Webster take out the prize for the winning rink, they went on to share the $1,048 jackpot with Rob Eldridge and Phil Smith who no longer cared that they had lost the game. The not so lucky losers were Glenn Coey, Bradley Yates, Max Heslehurst and John McCartney. Completely forgotten in all the excitement were the runners-up Syd Cochrane, John Morgan, Rob Edwards and Bill Metcalfe.

Peter Slattery and John Morgan went from losers to grinners on Saturday while Steve Webster and Norm Malzard were lucky to lose.

Don’t forget the Classic Pairs on the 8th November. Have a go!!
