Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or clean smart casual, with collared shirt and neat shorts/slacks. No tank tops or singlets

Bowls  Facebook page has been updated to show upcoming tournaments and carnivals, men’s and ladies for 2018. Helpful notice for your diary.

A Reminder that Port City greens and spectator areas are smoke free.

There is an unavailability sheet on the board for pennants 2018. Please let the selectors know which dates you are not available.

Please note, green fees  for pennant and trials for 2018 have been set at $5.

Jack Lewis is now at Engadine Cougars to further his bowling and professional career. We wish Jack all the best.

Australia Day – Aust V Rest of the World is mixed/open 2 bowl triples starting at 10.30 am. Two games each 14 ends. Cost is $10 includes light lunch. Wear your Aussie or Country shirt,

Zone 14 bowling arm trials (MBA) are being held at SWR on Monday 26 March and Monday 23 April. Zone 14 has initiated a challenge to the state Woomeras MBA side. Zone 14 side will be known as the “Armigos” . Closing date is 16/2/18. A notice is on the board for nominations/enquiries.

NSW state zone 14 fours at Port City on 27/28 January – draw is on the board.

NSW 5 a side for grade 1 will be played at Warilla 29 Jan – 1 Feb. A sheet is on the board for those interested.

Approved club championships for 2018 – Format and entry requirements are on the board. Please take a look at this as there are some changes from previous years.

The first championship of the year – The Men’s Major singles- entries are open, and will close 29 Jan. Rounds 1 and 2 will be played on Feb 4. A sheet is on the board.

Social bowls prizes. To reduce printing costs we are no longer using the voucher system. Prizes have been increased and will be paid in cash. Winners $20, runners up $10, lucky losers $10. Note – bowlers must be present at the presentation after bowls to receive their winnings.

Hastings Relay for life, event launch will be held at Port City on February 9th with a barefoot bowls party.

Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm.  Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Coppy’s Butcher Block.  Also club ltd badge draw at 7 and 8 pm currently stands at $11,500.

Although the $1000 jackpot went off last week, there was enough in the “reserve” for the jackpot to remain at $1000. Don Ramsay missed it

The $270 jackpot did not go off.

Sunday: Jackpot $354 stayed with the treasurer.
