Kew Bowls News. 5/1/18.

Kew Country Club will be hosting a Memorial Bowls Day featuring the Ken Kinman Shield on Saturday the 17th of February starting at 9am. Over $2,000 in prize money on offer 1st place $900, 2nd $600, 3rd $300 and 4th $140. $60 entry fee per team which can be men, women or mixed a BBQ lunch is included in your entry fee entries close on the 10th of February. The format will be two games of 3 bowl triples 15 ends and there will be a lucky draw of $60. There will be a $2 entry into $200, Tony Jack shootout players will bowl diagonally across the green to the jack in the far corner and winner takes all. Come along and help celebrate past members and have and have a great time with the friendly Kew mob.

The Monday Monthly Pairs will start again on February 5th so grab a mate and enjoy a day on the greens with a chance to pick some handy cash to pay the Chrissy expences.

Saturday cashpot triples and the winners were Reggie Robb, Brian Charters and Paul Hancox, runner up Jeff Nichols, Rod Sutton and Rob Edwards and 3rd John Brown, Warren Bates and Rocky Davis. Vouchers went to Dean Gemmell, George Ganic, Rocky Davis and Gary Ruprecht.

Wednesday social winners were John Hilton, Dave Napper and Dean Gemmell, runner up Frank Raczka, Tony Austin and Peter Laing. Vouchers went to John Gemmell, Charles Doyle, Tony Austin and John Hilton.

The draw is up on the board for the major pair’s first round to be played by the 13th of January.

Wednesday social and Friday jackpot triples are the bowls this week names in by 11.30 12.30 start both days mufti dress all welcome.
