Port Panthers Women's Bowling Club
Wed 24/1/2018 . Thank you to all the ladies who helped us to celebrate our 35th birthday. Winners today were a Port City team playing the quarter final of the district triples. the runners up were Janice Bynon, Eve Fennell & Marion Hume.
Australia day was a great success, great competition, fine weather & sausage sandwiches. Winning rinks were (1) J. Sloan, B. Missio & P. Sloan, (2) D. Mulligan, K. Lowther, E. Main & P. lithou, (3) S. Miner, G. Drewson & K. Errington. The runners up were (1) F. King, B. King & D. Hickling, (2) J. Ross, H. Holler & P. Ross.
There was a big competition for best dressed, won by Sue Gates for best dressed spectator. However there was a bit of a controversy for best dressed bowlers, won by husband and wife Sharon & John Wright. Sharon was great , had flags in hair , on cheeks & tied around waist, but John????? his socks/stockings shorts, shirt or hat did not match, no idea what the umbrella was doing on his head, maybe to stop sunstroke, maybe dressed that way because of sunstroke. Many thanks to HIBBARD sport club.
