Saturday cashpot triples saw the record for the most ends won in the2 games of 13 ends format with 22 ends being won by the winners Peter Richards, Les Allport and Graham Connin , 2nd went to Keith O’Connor, John Brown and Rocky Davis and 3rd place Jimmy Race, Adrian Hilton and Ian Hilton. Voucher winners were Rod Sutton, Ray Allan and Peter Richards.
Wednesday social winners were Jeff Nichols, Gary (New Bowls) Cheers and Cliffy Kerr the runner up loot went to Alf Salter, Steve Hall and Terry Stringer. Voucher winners were Robb Edwards, John Smith, Warren Barnes and Tony Austin.
Kew Country Club will be hosting a Memorial Bowls Day featuring the Ken Kinman Shield on Saturday the 17th of February starting at 9am. Over $2,000 in prize money on offer 1st place $900, 2nd $600, 3rd $300 and 4th $140. $60 entry fee per team which can be men, women or mixed a BBQ lunch is included in your entry fee entries close on the 10th of February. The format will be two games of 3 bowl triples 15 ends and there will be a lucky draw of $60. There will be a $2 entry into $200 the Tony Jack shootout players will bowl diagonally across the green to the jack in the far corner and winner takes all. Dress will be mufti so come along and help celebrate past members and have and have a great time with the friendly Kew Crew.
The Monday Monthly Pairs will start again on February 5th so grab a mate and enjoy a day on the greens with a chance to pick some handy cash to pay the light bill.
Wednesday social is the bowls this week names in by 11.30 12.30 start mufti dress all welcome.
