WEEK ENDING SUNDAY 7TH
JANUARY
The Major Pairs
Championship games are under way and this week saw Graham Denton and David
Pateman win through to the next round as did Vic Hayhurst and Ray Downes.
With Christmas and the
weather effecting play last week it was a case of Thursday only and Andy Lloyd,
Graham Conen, Roy Williams and Bob Ruming made the most of it to take out the
winning rink prize. Runners-up were Geoff Worley, Tom Reeves and Phil Innes.
The lucky losers were Warren Binney, Peter Richards, Neville Wolrige and David
Jourdant.
Last Thursday Bill
Metcalfe, G. Hopitz, Keith Woods and Geoff Worley collected the winning rink
envelopes with Bob Ruming, Vic Austin, Graham Conen and Andy Lloyd the
runners-up. George Barker, Les Perry, Harry Weegen and John Cree were happy to
lose.
Winners on Saturday
were Ross Tinmouth and Dick Engel and lucky losers were Phil Innes and Norm
Malzard.
