Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or clean smart casual, with collared shirt and neat shorts/slacks. No tank tops or singlets

 A Reminder that Port City greens and spectator areas are smoke free.

2018 Zone 14 state championships finals will be played at SWR on week-end of 21/22 April. Port City are represented in the triples with Callum Murray-Phil Baker and Craig Donaldson playing C. Willis – H. Kirkland – K. Price (PB), and in the open singles, Callum Murray plays R. Southam (PB).

Pennant update –  pennant trial for grades 2 - 7 were held on Saturday. Selectors will be sitting down this week to select the “probable” teams.  Lists should be up on the notice board by the end of the week. It is likely we will have a “hit out” on Saturday 21st. Will report further next week.The draw for grades 2 – 7 is on the notice board.

Grade 1 have a trial against Westport  (at Westport) on Friday 13th at 6pm.

Major pairs continues with round 2 games to be played on Saturday 14th April.

Singles final between Callum Murray and Bruce Anderson  in a repeat of last year’s final Callum overcame the experienced Bruce 31 – 27.

Veterans Day – the annual Veterans day will be held Thursday 19th April. Bowls from 9.30 to noon followed by lunch. There is a sheet on the board.

A pennant unavailability sheet is on the board. Please let the selectors know which dates you are not available.

Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm.  Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Coppy’s Butcher Block. The Club Ltd badge draw stands at $3500, with draws at 7pm and 8 pm.
