Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or clean smart casual, with collared shirt and neat shorts/slacks. No tank tops or singlets

Reminder that Port City greens and spectator areas are smoke free.

Get yourselves to SWR on weekend of 21/22 April for the 2018 zone 14 southern section state championship finals. Port City are represented in the triples with Callum Murray – Phil Baker – Craig Donaldson taking on the team from Park Beach. In the open singles Callum Murray takes on R. Southam also from Park Beach,

2018 men’s major pairs – quarter finals T. Scholz V B. Anderson, R. Trow V C. Donaldson. J. Hrabak V C. Thornton and G. Irons V C. Ainsworth. The winners through to the semi finals are Trevor Scholz V Richard Trow. John Hrabak V Craig Ainsworth.

The semi finals will be played am on Sunday 29th April, the final in the afternoon.

Pennant update – Note new start time for pennants this year is 12.30. Call of the cards at 12.10, roll up at 12.20.

Veterans Day – the annual Veterans day will be held Thursday 19th April. Bowls from 9.30 to noon followed by lunch. There is a sheet on the board.

Social bowls as usual on Anzac Day.

Get your entries in for the 2 bowls handicap triples, May 16 – 18. Handicap must be minimum of 13 based on pennant grading.

The “Kranky Koala” award for April, a unanimous decision, goes to Leigh “2 down” Hardingham.

Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm. Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Coppy’s Butcher Block. The Club Ltd badge draw stands at $3500, with draws at 7pm and 8 pm.
