Kew Men’s Bowls News.

Rocky Davis and Barrie Isaac have won their way through to the state finals for the senior pairs after their win at South West Rocks on Saturday. Congratulations and the best of luck at the finals.

A new format has been devised for the Monday Monthly Pairs this will start from Monday the 7th of May $700 guaranteed prize money and the jackpot on the 7th is $400 first place with2 wins and the most ends $250, second 2 wins and the next amount of ends $150, 3rd one win one loss plus the most ends $120, 4th 1win 1loss plus the next amount of ends $80, 5th 2 losses $60 with the most ends and 6th 2 losses and the next amount of ends $40. All clubs are invited to enter with a chance to win some loot and enjoy the Kew Clubs friendly hospitality.

Saturday afternoon all Kew pennant sides were given the chance to play their final trial on the superb grass greens at Lake Cathie and a great afternoon of bowls it was the friendship and hospitality of Lake Cathie is second to none thank you all for a great afternoon.

The last semi-final place has been decided in the major singles Terry Duff once again proved how hard he is to beat when he defeated Mick Stuttard on Wednesday afternoon in the quarter final Terry will know play Ray Allan on Wednesday morning at 9am weather permitting with the winner to play Kevin Wholohan in the final best of luck to you both.

Wednesday social and the cash went to Ray Elliott, Ian Poole and Gary Martin, the runner up prize went to Alf Salter, Howard Burrows and Wayne Thrussell. Voucher winners were Des Hancox, Stewart Wellard, Ian Poole and Barrie Isaac.

The Friday jackpot escaped their clutches once more and is now worth $492 on Friday the 4th of May the runner up money stayed put also so that left the rink winners and picking up win was Reggie Robb, Dean Gemmell and Trevor Robb the runner up cash went to Warren Bates, Rod Sutton and Stuart Rogan. Voucher went to Ray Allan, John Gemmell, Rod Sutton and Dave Napper.

The draw is on the board for the fours championship, please check to see when your team is required to play.

The first round of pennants will be played on Saturday please check the board to see where your picked to play and where you play. Grade 4 at home to West Port, grade 6 away to Lake Cathie and grade 7 away to Waughope.
