WESTPORT WOMEN’S BOWLING CLUB

REPORT FOR TUESDAY 9^th MAY 2017

TUESDAY MORNING MIXED BOWLS – Tuesday bowls - 9.30am start – Uniform or neat casual. Welcome all members and visitors to this competition. Come along and enjoy a pleasant morning of bowls with a happy group of players. Margaret and Ron Coombes can be contacted on 6581 3264 or 0422816063 if you would like to come and enjoy a morning game of bowls. All visitors welcome. Bowlers to meet upstairs at the Club in the Community room before bowls.

 

Winners were Barb Nall, Margaret Coombes, Yvonne Hansell and Rob Ferry. Raffle winners Barb Nall, Maurice Whitechurch and Ken Rivett.

REPORT FOR THURSDAY 11^th MAY, 2017

THURSDAY MORNING LADIES DAY – 9.30am start –Uniform. Selectors for Thursday 18^th Di Irving (65826262) and Carol Owen (04054179947). Water and flag roster for Thursday 18^th May 2017 Lesley Godson and Di Todd. 

 

Thank you to Debbie from Perfect Nails by Debbie for her ongoing support. Winners on rink 12 were Betty Oliver, Hilary Smith and Colleen Jukes. Runners up on Rink 13 were Betty Cunningham, Di Todd and Di Stansfield. Jackpot not won. Raffle winners Shirley Devine, Di Parry, Geraldine Lavender and Julie Fraser.

 

Congratulations to the Senior Pairs winners Carol Owen and Denise Penney and congratulations to runners up Julie Fraser and Carol Chandler who have not been bowling very long.

AUGUST CARNIVAL:

Unfortunately we have to change our August Carnival to one day only. This will be Thursday 10^th August, 2017. Brochures have been sent out and one emailed to Brian Smith to attach to this report. TWO DAY MIXED PAIRS CARNIVAL JUNE 2017

On Saturday 3^rd June, 2017 and Sunday 4^th June 2017, we are holding a two day Mixed Pairs carnival with prize money of $5000.  Entry fee will be $80 per team for the two days.
