Lake Cathie Women’s Bowling Club Report

Weekending 21st May 2017.

 

The Final of the Fours Championship was played on Tuesday 16th May 2017 with our victors being Nola Scott, Chris Knox, Lyn Watson, and Patricia O’Brien who was the sub Dorothy Dow. Our runners up for the year are Marie Kitcher, Robin Downes who was the sub for Sharon Stokmanis, Kay Deas, and Barb Roberson. Well done to both teams on making the final and having it played in good spirits.

Social Bowls results for Saturday 13th May were the lucky rink winners of A Wilson, P Sadler, and N Hall. The runners up were P Begley, and Jenny Roberts.

Result for Tuesday 15th May the lucky rink winners were H White, P Sadler, and R Jones and the runners up were P Monoghan, J Roth, and T Aafjes.

Results for Saturday 20th May the lucky rink winners were S Malzard and V Hamilton with the runners up being V Bayliss, F Williams and A Todd.

Skins Results for May - We had an excellent turn out on the perfect day for bowls. Rink winners were – Gary Blackler, Judi Blackler, Di Fischer, Dennis Hamilton, Anna Innes, and Tom Reeves. The skins play off was one of the best we’ve seen and Judi won it with a resting toucher and Di was Runner Up, only just missing a trail of the jack by a whisker. The next “Skins” is on Wednesday 21 June, 9 am start and cost including lunch will be $17.

Don’t forget your carnival entries and give them to Judie very soon as we could still do with some more team entries. Also, there is a list of single entries if you need an extra player.
