Club Championships

The major pairs final between D. Barrett and C. Murray will be played Sunday May 21st at 1pm.

Pennants:

Grade 1, round 10 defeated SWR 8.5 – 1.5 (62-51) to win the section.
Post sectional playoff on Saturday 20th against Tuncurry Beach at Taree Leagues 12.30 start.
The winner progresses to the state finals August 4 – 6 at St. Johns Park/Cabra-Vales Diggers.

In the 2017 senior interzone championships to be played at Sylvania Bowling Club May 16-18, congratulations to Ian Binder, Bruce Anderson, Ken Paulsen and Bryce Stewart who have been selected in the zone 14 side.

2 bowl handicap triples, May 9 – 11. The tournament played in perfect weather. The winners were M. Pye – P. Ascot-Evans – D.Dickman ( Port City). 2nd F. Stevens – B. Tonkin – S. Newman (Tuncurry). 3rd L. Scholz – T. Scholz – G. Mitchell ( Port City). A big thank you to Phil Baker and “behind the screens” IT man Paul Webster. It was also great to see some of the ladies helping with the lunches.

Notices are on the board for state pairs/ state senior pairs/state president reserves singles/state singles.

Upcoming events

June 16 to 18 Grade 6 & 7 2 bowl triples prize money $7800. This is always a popular tournament so enter your teams soon.

July 12 to 14 Prestige Pairs, prize money of $6500

The PCMBC bowls calendar for May/June  is on the board. The full 2017 calendar is on our bowls web site under “Calendar 17”.

Port City travelling bowlers Sunday June 4th is a fund raising bowls day in support of Marine Rescue NSW & Sailability. Cost is $15 and includes breakfast and lunch. Come along and support this great cause.

Bowling membership is now due. Renewals at the “old” change box or online.

Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm.  Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Wiggly Tail Butchery.
