Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or clean smart casual, with collared shirt and neat shorts/slacks. No tank tops or singlets

Club Championships: In the major pairs final played this afternoon Greg Brims/Danny Barrett defeated Bryce Stewart/Callum Murray

Pennants: Grade 1 Conference final at Taree Leagues the boys defeated Tuncurry 9-1 (66-60) and now progress to the state finals 4- 6 August at St. Johns Park/Cabra-Vale.

A successful year for Port City pennants with the 1’s and 2’s both making the state and the ladies 1’s also making the state. A few other grades fell at the last hurdle.

The 2’s state finals are at Wagga and there is a sheet on the board for those interested in travelling in the supporter’s bus, which leaves the club on Thursday 3 August and returns on 7th August.

Bruce Anderson and Ken Paulsen have been chosen in the selection trial for NSW senior state side at Cabramatta July 17-18

Upcoming events: June 16 to 18 Grade 6 & 7 2 bowl triples prize money $7800. This is always a popular event so enter your teams soon.

July 12 to 14 Prestige Pairs, prize money of $6500

The PCMBC bowls calendar for May/June  is on the board. The full 2017 calendar is on our bowls web site under “Calendar 17”.

Port City travelling bowlers Sunday June 4th is a fund raising bowls day in support of Marine Rescue NSW & Sailability. Cost is $15 and includes breakfast and lunch. Come along and support this great cause.

Prawn & Chicken night – pennant thank you Thursday 22nd June (subject to availability of prawns)

Men’s club AGM Saturday July 22. Notices will be on the board shortly.

Bowling membership is now due. Renewals at the “old” change box or online.

Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm.  Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Wiggly Tail Butchery.
