WESTPORT WOMEN’S BOWLING CLUB

REPORT FOR TUESDAY 25^th APRIL, 2017

TUESDAY MORNING MIXED BOWLS – A charity morning was held this Tuesday to help the Northern Rivers bowling clubs who have suffered damage from the recent floods. A total of 78 players enjoyed a great morning of bowls. Thanks to the men’s club and the support from the ladies club we had a tasty BBQ lunch and a great game of bowls. Many thanks to all who gave items and donations for the raffle – a total of $1900 was raised – well done to all!!

Normal Tuesday bowls - 9.30 am start – Uniform or neat casual. Welcome all members and visitors to this competition. Come along and enjoy a pleasant morning of bowls with a happy group of players. Margaret and Ron Coombes can be contacted on 6581 3264 or 0422816063 if you would like to come and enjoy a morning game of bowls. All visitors welcome. Bowlers to meet upstairs at the Club in the Community room before bowls.

REPORT FOR THURSDAY 27^th APRIL, 2017

THURSDAY MORNING LADIES DAY – 9.30 am start –Uniform. Selectors for Thursday 4^th May, 2017 are Colleen Purnell (65840396) and Carol Owen (0405417994). Water and flag roster for Thursday 4^th May 2017 Colleen Watt and Faye Laut.  Thank you to Debbie from Perfect Nails by Debbie for her ongoing support. Winners on rink 12 were Leonie Laws, Jan Fleming and Lesley Godson. Runners up on Rink 9 were Kaye Stingel, Faye Laut and Jenny Crisp. Jackpot not won. Raffle winners Colleen Watt, Val Carroll, Sue Smith and Bette Whiting. 100 Club winners Di Irving, Joy Elford, Carol Owen, Peggy Coughey and Denise Penney.

TWO DAY MIXED PAIRS CARNIVAL JUNE 2017

On Saturday 3^rd June, 2017 and Sunday 4^th June 2017, we are holding a two day Mixed Pairs carnival with prize money of $5000.  Entry fee will be $80 per team for the two days.
