When Chica whooped, frightening the beachgoers over the road, Worley was heard to remark, “Haven’t you ever won a championship before Chica?”. It was the final of the Club Fours Championship and Steve Grimshaw, Richard ‘Chica’ Batts, Gavin Law and Des Hancox had just won against Stewart ‘Magpie’ Hodges, Neil Proctor, Frank Ryan and Geoff Worley on Sunday in a match worthy of a final. Congratulations to both teams on a fine effort.
