A win in the Fours
Championship game this week resulted in Geoff Worley, Frank Ryan, Harry Hicks
(Sub) and Stewart Hodges moving to the next round.
On Monday Bev
Ascot-Evans, Pete Richard and B. Verkuylen were the rink winners and Terri
Segar, Rob Segar and Peter Harris were the lucky losers.
Bob Ruming, Vic Austin,
Roy Williams and Gavin Law took the winner’s prize on Thursday with Keith
Woods, Robert Hall, Steve Webster and Glenn Tiley coming a close second. Lucky
losers were Keith Clarke, Graham Fairburn, Denis Hamilton and Mike O’Neill.
Saturday morning was
very hot and sultry as were most of the players when the ladies took on the men
in a pennant trial which resulted in a draw. Everyone was pleased to get back
into the air-conditioning.
Saturday afternoon the
men took to the greens but were soon back inside as the rain washed out the
game.
