On Wednesday, 4th January President Sarah Missio welcomed everyone to the 1st day of bowls for 2017. Today saw the ladies enjoying games of pairs, triples and fours.
Today’s winners were (Rink 16) Chris James and Lorna Thompson with the consolation going to (Rink 17) Trish Wellings, Ettie Watchorn and Di Brittian. All these ladies received vouchers to be used at our good club sponsor “Hastings Fresh Meats” and we thank them for their much valued support of our club.
The
day’s raffle winners were Julie Sloan who won 1st prize, 2nd prize
was won by Grace Munro with 3rd prize being won by Ruth Henning.
Results
of 100 club 245 drawn on the 22nd Dec are: - 1st No 57 John O'Neill,
2nd No 53 Fred Wollaston, and 3rd No 82 Fred Wollaston. Members are
advised that 100 club tickets which cost $2.00 each are on sale all week with 1st
prize getting $60.00, second $30.00 and third $10.00. 100 club 246 will be
drawn once all numbers are sold.
Members
are reminded that the “Bowlers Friday Night Raffle” is on again this Friday at
the Hibbard Sports Club with tickets on sale from 5pm. There will be 22 great
meat trays as prizes which are supplied by “Hastings Fresh Meats” and the cash
jackpot will be worth $100.00 this week if won.
Next
Wednesday, 11th January our social bowlers will be playing triples. If you
would like a game please put your name on the sheet or call Terry in the office
on 65849276.
