WEEK ENDING SUNDAY 1ST JULY
Congratulations to Geoff
Worley, Gary Knox, Glenn Tiley and Ron Allen, our 2018 Club Fours Champions. Congratulations
also to Rob Eldridge, Dean Noble, Keith Woods and Richard Springett in reaching
the final. The game was played in dull, overcast and cold conditions, not
exactly a nice day to be on the green.
Pennant results on
Saturday; Grade 3 lost to North Haven 1 – 9; Grade 4 lost to Kew 0 – 10; Grade
5 won 9 – 1 against South West Rocks; and Grade 7 finished a tie on the main
board against Kew but with two winning rinks scored a 5½ - 4½ win.
Winners on Monday were
Brian Jux, Bob Kohut and Joan Qulliam. Lucky losers were Maritha Baleinavetaly,
Paul McNamara and Arthur Fletcher.
On Thursday, the
winning rink went to Brian Gorman, Max Heslehurst and Vic Austin with
runners-up Graham Denton, David Pateman and Neville Wolrige. Lucky losers were
John Gillett, Keith Miller, Bill Metcalfe and Terry McHugh.
Ken Pritchard and Peter
Richards were the grinners on Saturday; John Fuller and Tony Owens were lucky
not to win.
