Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or clean smart casual, with collared shirt and neat shorts/slacks. No tank tops or singlets

Pennants – Round 4 results.

Gr 1 Vs SWR W 9 – 1 (65-54)
Gr 2 Vs WAU W 10 – 0 (73-44)
Gr 3 Vs LC L 0 – 10 ( 45-95)
Gr 4 Vs WP L 1-9 (45-61)
Gr 5 Vs LC W 9 – 1 (69 – 50)
Gr 6 Vs NH L 0 – 10 (48 – 80)
Gr 7 Vs PP W 10 -0 (102 – 36)

It took 237 years to win the $8000 handicap triples !!!!
That was the combined ages of the winners Terry Hill, Russell Carkeek and Peter Gunn. After eight games there were the only undefeated side with 7 wins and I draw. Coming in second were Steve Newman, Jake Reid and Dan Curnow. Third place was Grant Bailey, Colin Halls and John Ellison.

The 1st and 2nd round of the club handicap triples are set down for Sunday 27th May. The draw is on the board.

Friday June 1st, club is hosting “ Give me 5 for 5”. Raising money for the Children’s ward at Port Hospital. More details in next week’s report.


The 2018 Port Macquarie mixed pairs is on 8th – 10th June. Prize money is $7500. Entries are still being taken.

The JAX Tyres grade 6 & 7 2 bowls triples is on 15th – 17 June. Prize money is $7800, not bad for grade 6 & 7 players. Again entries are still open.

Diary note – Men’s AGM is on Saturday 21st July at 9.30am at the club.

Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm. Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Coppy’s Butcher Block. The Club Ltd badge draw stands at $7000 with draws at 7pm and 8 pm.
