2018 Minor Pairs Champions Warren Dark & Denis Begley
LAKE CATHIE MEN’S BOWLING CLUB
WEEK ENDING SUNDAY 6TH MAY
It was not a good start
to the pennant season for Lake Cathie except for our Grade 3 players who
defeated North Haven 9-1. Grade 4 went down to Westport 1-9; Grades 5 and 6
both went down to North Haven 1-9; Grade 7 went down to South West Rocks 1-9.
The Minor Singles
Championship games played saw Phil Innes defeat Rob Eldridge, George Barnes
defeat Dennis Hamilton, Bill Mahon defeat Syd Cochran and Bob Hoban defeat Bob
Kohut.
Social bowls were
abandoned to the elements on Monday. Thursday’s winners were Steve Philp, John
Kennet and Ralph Crawford. Runners-up were Des Hancox, David Pateman and Graham
Howard and the lucky losers were Laurie Bayliss, Warren Dark and Vic Ley.
On Saturday Ken Taylor
and George Barnes were grinners; Graham Fairburn and Les Perry were lucky to
lose.
