LAKE CATHIE MEN’S BOWLING CLUB
WEEK ENDING SUNDAY 20TH MAY
The final of the Minor Singles Championship will be played on Friday between Denis Begley and Paul Dewson at 09.30. Admission to watch is free so come on down and be entertained with what should be a close game.
Denis defeated Bob
Hoban in the semi final and Paul defeated Ray Downes to make it to the final.
Grade 3 pennant team
had a solid win against Port City on Saturday 95-45; Grade 4 went down against
Kempsey Heights 66-60; Grade 5 lost 69-50 to Port City; and Grade 6 triumphed
over Comboyne 69-50.
On the social side, the
rain won on Monday. Thursday’s rink winners were Geoff Worley, Hubert Optitz
and John Hayes; runners-up were Warren Dark, Harry Weegen and George Barnes;
and lucky losers were Steve Webster, Graeme Bateman and Peter Griffiths.
On Saturday in the
Bruce Hodge Memorial Shield games, Vic Hayhurst and Derek Wright were the
winners; lucky losers were Doug Rose and Peter Richards.
