Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or clean smart casual, with collared shirt and neat shorts/slacks. No tank tops or singlets

In the 2018 men’s minor pairs semi finals Col Marr / Brian Richardson def Chris Thornton / Steve Matheson and Les Thompson / Rob Jennings def Les Scholz/Chris Palmer.

The men’s fours 2018 championship has been decided, and in a great game Craig Cooper’s team ( Scotty Wholohan/Mark New/Jim Cain) defeated Greg Keft’s team ( Paul Webster/Peter Ascott-Evans/Don Ramsay) 15 – 14 on the last end. 

Entries are open for the 2018 major/minor pairs. Sheet is on the board.

We are introducing a new monthly open pairs (3 bowl) with prize money of $800. The initial tournament will kick off on Thursday September 27th. Check in is 8.30 am. This tournament is proudly sponsored by George & Matilda Eyecare. Entry forms are at the bowls kiosk.

The BPL regional finals were completed today ( Sunday) at Port City and Greg Keft’s team ( Jai Whelan/Cody Griffin) have qualified for the state finals along with the team from Forster lead by Jason Morse. The state finals will be held at Mt Lewis on Sunday 23rd September. Winners at the state level progress to the Australian titles. Good luck to all.

Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm. Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Coppy’s butchers Block.

Thursday: Winners ($20) Brian Collis- Ron Apps. Runners Up ($10) Dave Terley-Peter Asoctt-Evans. Lucky Losers ($10) Russell Carkeek-Chappo.
Ron Davies correctly picked the right number to win the $675 jackpot

Friday: Winners ($20) Henry Gontar-Jock McDonald-Ron Davies. Runners Up ($10) B. Phillips-Al Baker-John Robinson. Lucky Losers ($10) Brian Stokes- Graeme Light.
New committee man Mike Rand missed the $730 jackpot.
