LAKE CATHIE MEN’S BOWLING CLUB WEEK ENDING SUNDAY 13TH AUGUST
Congratulations to
Steve Townsend, Ron Allen and Geoff Worley; they were triumphant in the final
of the Club Triples Championship on Sunday, defeating Phil Smith, Bob Fischer
and Steve Smith. Well done to Phil, Bob and Steve also for getting into the
final.
President Gary
organized a successful Classic Pairs on Wednesday; not sure who organized the
weather but it was a great day for bowls. Charles Doyle and Dean Gammell took
first prize, Bill Mahon and Roger Hall second and Brian Charters and Mike
Ashford third.
Denise and Reg Penney
teamed up with John Manning on Monday to take the winning rink with Anne
Armstrong, Jean West and Barry Armstrong happy to lose and win a prize.
Thursday’s winners were
Paul Dewson, Vic Austin and Derek Wright; Runners-up were Geoff Worley, Gary
Knox and Keith Woods and the lucky losers prize went to Steve Smith, Gary
Jackson and Geoff McLean.
On Saturday Jim McGill
teamed up with Ken Pritchard to win, while D. Warren and Graham Platt were
lucky losers.
