WESPORT WOMEN’S BOWLING CLUB

REPORT FOR TUESDAY 11^th APRIL, 2017

TUESDAY MORNING MIXED BOWLS – 9.30am start – Uniform or neat casual. Welcome all members and visitors to this competition. Come along and enjoy a pleasant morning of bowls with a happy group of players. Another good roll up this morning, played under clear blue sky!! Winners were Graeme Quinn, Gay Mack, Neville Burley and Therese Emery. Lucky raffle winners were Paul Lalor, Sue Quinn, Rob Ferry and Pat Cummings. REPORT FOR THURSDAY 13^th APRIL, 2017

THURSDAY MORNING LADIES DAY – 9.30am start –Uniform. Selectors for Thursday 20^th April 2017 are Carol Owen (0405417994) and Di Irving (65826262). Water and flag roster for Thursday 20^th Faye Laut and Bette Whiting.  Thank you to Debbie from Perfect Nails by Debbie for her ongoing support. Winners on rink 10 were Carol Chandler, Joy Hindson and Shirley Linehan. Runners up also on Rink 10 were Faye Laut, Di Todd and Sylvia McCallum. Jackpot winners on Rink 9 were Dot Burley, Hilary Smith and Di Irving. Raffle winners Elaine Taylor, Di Parry, Kaye Stingel and Ruth Creed.

REMINDERS:

1. Final of the Senior Singles will be held Thursday 20th between Geraldine Lavender and Anna Zhao.

2. Committee Meeting Thursday 20^th April, 2017 at 1.30pm.

3. Major Pairs close on Monday 24^th April, 2017, first round Wednesday 3^rd May, 2017.

4. Anzac Day Mixed bowls – see sheet in Men’s and Ladies locker rooms.

5. Pennant Appreciation bowls and lunch on Thursday 27^th April, 2017. 

AUGUST CARNIVAL:

Unfortunately we have to change our August Carnival to one day only. This will be Thursday 10^th August, 2017. Brochures have been sent out and one emailed to Brian Smith to attach to this report. TWO DAY MIXED PAIRS CARNIVAL JUNE 2017

On Saturday 3^rd June, 2017 and Sunday 4^th June 2017, we are holding a two day Mixed Pairs carnival with prize money of $5000.  Entry fee will be $80 per team for the two days.
