Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or clean smart casual, with collared shirt and neat shorts/slacks. No tank tops or singlets

New Port City bowls cloths have arrived. They cost $5 each. See Phil to purchase one.

Club Championships.

The triples final is between D. Barrett and P. Baker. Date to be advised

Major pairs, entries are open and close 17th April. First round Sunday 23rd April

Round 5 of the pennants.

Grade 1  V  SWR W 10-0 (67-41)  1st

           2  V  PP W 10-0 (60-46)  1st

           3  V  HH  L 1.5 – 8.5 (53-62) 2nd

           4  V  LC  W  9-1 (56-54) 1st

           5  V  WP  W 9-1 (60-51) 1st

           6  V  Kew  W 9-1( 57-53) 4th

           7  V  LC  W  8-2  (54-52) 1st

This weekend round 6 on Saturday and the deferred round 3 on Sunday, which will complete the sectional play for grades 2 to 7. In grades 2 & 3 the top 2 teams progress and in grades 4 to 7 the top team progresses.

Note on Tuesday afternoons starting at 2.30 there will be pennant training drills with thanks to Geoff Mitchell and Mike Rand.

It was great to see our friend Garry Lawer at the club on Wednesday, catching up with all his mates. Garry looked very well.

The new bowls kiosk is coming along nicely with the installation of the counter and display cabinets, as well as the TV monitors.

Friday April 7th is the annual Mayor’s Sporting Bowls day.

The Easter carnival this year starts on Easter Saturday 15th April with ladies triples, Sunday is mixed triple and Monday is men’s Pairs.

Veterans Day is Thursday April 20th, bowls at 9.30 followed by lunch

There will be a handicap triples May 9th to 11th.

Travelling Bowlers next game in on Sunday 9th April. Brekky at 8.30, bowls at 9.30. Cost $15.

The annual Marine rescue Day is on 4th June.

The PCMBC bowls calendar for April/May  is on the board. The full 2017 calendar is on our bowls web site under “Calendar 17”

Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm.  Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Wiggly Tail Butchery.

Social Bowls: Please note we would encourage social bowlers be back in the club by 4pm to allow for a timely presentation and raffles. No dead ends.  Thank you for your co operation.

There are no Saturday afternoon social bowls during the pennant season.

Sunday: The $120 jackpot did not go off ( unlucky rink 13)
