Club Championships.
The triples
final is between D. Barrett and P. Baker. This will be played on Sunday 7th
May at 1pm. Should be a great match.
Major pairs.
Semi finals played today, C. Murray def R. Trow 28-8 and D. Barrett def B.
Anderson 25- 14
Pennants:
Grade 1, round
8, in a “must win” game against Westport won 10-0 (70-43) and now lead narrowly
over Westport and Kew. Next week May 6, they play North Haven, away, and the
following week it’s SWR at home.
In the other
grades all games were decided by 1 point.
Grade 2, finals
week 2, def Wau 8-2 (64-63). They lead
their section and next week play Sawtell at SWR.
Grade 4, finals
week 2, Lost to Cr. Head 2-8 (53-54). Next week play Park Beach at SWR.
Grade 5 ,
finals week 2, Lost to Cex 2-8 ( 59-60) . Next week play Bowraville at Krsl.
In the 2017
senior interzone championships to be played at Sylvania Bowling Club May 16-18,
congratulations to Ian Binder, Bruce Anderson, Ken Paulsen and Bryce Stewart
who have been selected in the zone 14 side.
2 bowl handicap
triples, May 9 – 11. A total of $8000 in prize money. A total of 8 games with
lunch included on Wednesday and Thursday. There is still time to enter your
team
The new bowls kiosk is coming along nicely
with the installation of the counter and display cabinets, as well as the TV
monitors. A new extended notice board will be installed soon.
Bowls is back
on free to air TV, starting on Sunday 14th May at 3pm 0n SBS.
The PCMBC bowls
calendar for April/May is on the board. The full 2017 calendar is on our bowls
web site under “Calendar 17”.
Port City
travelling bowlers Sunday June 4th is a fund raising bowls day in
support of Marine Rescue NSW & Sailability. Cost is $15 and includes
breakfast and lunch. Come along and support this great cause.
Don’t forget
the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at
7pm. Ask for our special deals when
buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Wiggly Tail Butchery.
