Club Championships.

The triples final is between D. Barrett and P. Baker. Date to be advised

Grades 2, 4 and 5 progress to the zone playoffs to be held April 22, 29 and May 6. Zone 14 will announce the venues later this week

A big thank you to Geoff Mitchell and Mike Rand who conducted pennant training throughout the season.

The new bowls kiosk is coming along nicely with the installation of the counter and display cabinets, as well as the TV monitors. A new extended notice board will be installed soon.

The 2017 senior interzone championships are to be played at Sylvania Bowling Club, May 16-18. Congratulations to Ian Binder, Bruce Anderson, Ken Paulsen and Bryce Stewart who have been selected to play in the zone 14 side.

The zone 14 junior championships ( U 18) will be held at Nambucca Heads April 18-19. Our young fellas B. Parsons and J. Page will be playing in the singles and pairs. Good luck to both of you.

The Easter carnival this year starts on Easter Saturday 15th April with ladies triples, Sunday is mixed triple and Monday is men’s Pairs.

Veterans Day is Thursday April 20th, bowls at 9.30 followed by lunch

There will be a handicap triples May 9th to 11th.

Travelling Bowlers next game is on Sunday 23rd April. Brekky at 8.30, bowls at 9.30. Cost $15.

The annual Marine rescue Day is on 4th June.

The PCMBC bowls calendar for April/May is on the board. The full 2017 calendar is on our bowls web site under “Calendar 17”

Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm.  Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Wiggly Tail Butchery.

Wednesday: Winners ($15)  Phil Smith – Steve Clancy – Mike Rand.  Runners up ($10) John Hrabak – Bryce Stewart. Lucky losers ($7) Nev Stingel – Bob Tait – Dave Callanan.

Mike Rand took home the $600 jackpot.

Thursday: Winners ($15) J. Gaskill – B. Macdonald. Runners up ($10) R. Davies – P. Ascot-Evans. Lucky losers ($7) N. Schwartz – K. Taylor

Friday: Results not known, but I believe Joe Piola won the $600 jackpot.

As the Wednesday and Friday jackpots have been claimed, the jackpots for these days will now be capped at $1000. When the current Thursday jackpot goes off, it will also be reset to be capped at $1000

Note there is no social bowls on Easter Friday

Sunday:The $156 jackpot stayed in the bank.
