WESPORT WOMEN’S BOWLING CLUB

REPORT FOR TUESDAY 4^th APRIL, 2017

TUESDAY MORNING MIXED BOWLS – 9.30am start – Uniform or neat casual. Welcome all members and visitors to this competition. Come along and enjoy a pleasant morning of bowls with a happy group of players.  Rain stopped the game halfway through so there were no game winners. Margaret and Ron Coombes can be contacted on 6581 3264 or 0422816063 if you would like to come and enjoy a morning game of bowls. All visitors welcome. Bowlers to meet upstairs at the Club in the Community room before bowls. Raffle winners were Ken Rivett, Peter Burton and Dot Burley. Jackpot not won.
REPORT FOR THURSDAY 6^th APRIL, 2017

THURSDAY MORNING LADIES DAY – 9.30am start –Uniform. Selectors for Thursday 13^th April 2017 are Leonie Laws (0422496128) and Di Irving (65826262). Water and flag roster for Thursday 13^th April, 2017 are Di Todd and Colleen Watt. Thank you to Debbie from Perfect Nails by Debbie for her ongoing support. Thursday social bowls were down in numbers as our No.1s and both No.4s were playing in the final round of the Pennant games. After the washed out games are completed we will know the final pennant results.

REMINDERS:

1. Semi-final of the Senior Singles will be held Thursday 13^th between Peggy Coughey and Geraldine Lavender and Anna Zhao and Leonie Laws. Best of luck girls. The final to be played on Thursday 20^th April, 2017.

2. Major Pairs close on Monday 24^th April, 2017, first round Wednesday 3^rd May, 2017.

3. Committee meeting Thursday 20^th April, 2017 at 1.30pm.

AUGUST CARNIVAL:

Unfortunately we have to change our August Carnival to one day only. This will be Thursday 10^th August, 2017. Brochures have been sent out and one emailed to Brian Smith to attach to this report. TWO DAY MIXED PAIRS CARNIVAL JUNE 2017

On Saturday 3^rd June, 2017 and Sunday 4^th June 2017, we are holding a two day Mixed Pairs carnival with prize money of $5000.  Entry fee will be $80 per team for the two days.
