The Major Minor pairs competition has begun and all games were played in great spirits.
Today was Daffodil Day. Thanks to Robyn Biddle and her team for doing a fantastic job at organising this fundraiser. Over $2000 was raised and all funds will go to the Cancer Council.
Judy Brady is taking orders from those who wish to purchase a Law book. They are $10 each. Also there are some light weight jackets for sale. The order sheet for these is on the notice board. It is worthwhile to try one on for sizing beforehand.
There are a few carnivals coming up, to look out for.
Wauchope Floral Festival, Lake Cathie Spring Festival and our “Turnaround Triples for Four” carnival on 17-18 September.
On Sunday morning 9 September, our Travelling Bowlers will be coordinating a fundraiser for the Drought Relief Appeal. Sheets are on the noticeboard for triples teams – ladies, men, or mixed. Cost is $20/head which includes green fees, breakfast and lunch. There will be some fantastic raffle prizes so get your team together! There will be no Sunday afternoon bowls on this day so that all our members can participate in the fundraiser.
Pennant trials will be running soon put your name on the list. We are now taking entries for 2019 pennants. The list is up early so we can get a feel for the number of people wanting to play.
Out of Hat fours is coming up in two weeks. Thanks to our sponsors Topstitch Curtains and Blinds. There will be two games morning and afternoon.
