Congratulations to Callum Murray and Jack Lewis on being selected for the NSW Blues state camp at Cabramatta on 16/17th December.

Mixed Pairs winners were Phil Baker and Kylie Hardy for the second year running.

Speaking of Kylie, she has accepted the position of assistant to our bowls coordinator, to fill the vacancy caused by Paul “Jaco” taking a leading position in the army.

Presentation Day – Saturday 16th December. Bowls 1 – 3pm, followed by presentations, nibbles and drinks.

In the club challenge state finals at Warilla December 2/3 we have men’s gold and mixed gold participating.

Club Championships 2018 and onwards- After lengthy debate by the committee regarding the format and entry requirements for club championships there will be a notice on the board which provides suggestions for the format/entry requirements for club championships. Bowlers constructive comments are welcome.

It is hoped during the first half of 2018 to upgrade the existing BBQ area.

Xmas ham raffles Wed 6th Dec ( 60 hams), Wed 13th Dec (80 hams) and Wed 20th (100 hams). Tickets available from 5pm, draws at 7pm.

There has been much discussion about triples on Wednesdays and Fridays due to the ongoing green renovations. The discussions revolve around 2 bowl or 3 bowl. It has been decided that on the day it will be up to the skips to decide whether to play 2 or 3 bowl. We ask for bowlers understanding until all three greens are completed.

Port City bowls calendar 2018 – Due to the late start of pennants in 2018 ( 28th April) there will be substantial changes to the timing of various events. Phil Baker and Chris Palmer have spent many hours to complete our calendar to fit in with various district/zone/state events.

The full calendar will be available soon.

Please take the time to visit our facebook page which is being regularly updated by Phil and others.
