2017 Mixed Pairs Champions Anne Wilson & Geoff Worley
with runners-up John and Helene White
LAKE CATHIE MEN’S BOWLING CLUB WEEK ENDING SUNDAY 12TH
NOVEMBER
The Mixed Pairs and the
Mixed Fours Championships were decided this week and it was a case of déjá vu
with regard to the winners of both.
Anne Wilson and Geoff
Worley defeated Helene and John White in a very close game to become the 2017
Mixed Pairs Champions.
Anne and Geoff, with
Pam and Denis Begley, also in a very tight game, defeated Alma and Ken
Pritchard, Pat Kelly and Steve Smith to claim the 2017 Mixed Fours
Championship.
Congratulations to the
winners and the runners up in both games, both of which were decided on the
very last end.
The winning rink went
to Dick Engel and Les Perry on Monday. Lucky losers were Laurie Baylis, Marion
Kelly and Derek Wright.
On Thursday Keith Clarke,
Michael O’Neill, Richard Croft and Dennis Hamilton were the winners. Keith
Miller, Les Perry, Jacko and Warren Dark were runner’s-up and the lucky losers
were Rob Edwards, John Morgan, Vic Hayhurst and Brian Sloggett.
Saturday’s grinners
were John Morgan and Ken Taylor and lucky to lose were Brian Sloggett and Peter
Slattery.
