Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or clean smart casual, with collared shirt and neat shorts/slacks. No tank tops or singlets

Bowls  Facebook page has been updated. We now have bowls streamed “live” from Port City. Listen to Phil “the Ray Warren of bowls” Baker call the shots

 A Reminder that Port City greens and spectator areas are smoke free.

In the Rookie singles conducted at Kempsey Heights / Kempsey RSL Steve Spark was eliminated in the quarter finals and Mark New was defeated in the semi final by the eventual winner – Well done boys.

City Vs Country is coming up at Cabramatta on the week end 20/21 October. In the open section Craig Donaldson has been selected and Ken Paulsen is the manager. In the under 25’s Callum Murray has been selected. Jack Lewis ( now at Engadine) has been selected for the city side.

Next episode of the George & Matilda open pairs tournament will be held on Thursday 25th October.

Corporate jack attack new season runs Oct 26 to Nov 23. Entry $75 per team will be donated to the Hastings cancer trust in association with Octobra.

The 2018 men’s major/minor pairs semi finals Craig Ainsworth to play Rod Chetwynd and Matty Carter to play John Hrabak.

Pennants 2019, doesn’t it come round quickly !!! Nomination forms are at the bowls counter. Please complete this to assist the selectors.

2018 Club Challenge- expressions of interest, sheet is on the board.

Port City is proudly hosting the NSW fire & rescue state finals this week. This will mean some interruption to social bowls this week. There will be no social bowls on Wednesday or Thursday, but normal social bowls on Friday.

 Melbourne Cup , Tuesday 6th November- Mixed triples 10 am to 12.30, followed by nibbles etc. Sheet is on the board.

Our good friend Paul Webster (Board Director extrodinaire, committee man and IT guru) is spending some time in hospital. We wish Paul a speedy return to his duties (checking my spelling & grammar).

I also hear Bob Kemp has reached the great number of 86 years (your shout)

Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm.  Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Coppy’s butchers Block.
