The Port City Men's Bowling Club Newsletter for June 2018 is now available thanks to Colin Halls.

Club Championships 2018, handicap triples. The quarter finals and semi finals will be played on Sunday 24th June.

From the latest board newsletter, Port City now boasts 457 active bowls members (men & women), this is an increase from 393 in 2017.

Our 2018 club singles champion, Callum Murray will play Corey Daley ( PB) for the zone 14 champion of club champions title at Stuarts Point on Sunday 24th June. Good luck to Callum.

The AGM season is nearly upon us – The Travelling Bowlers AGM is on Sunday 15th July, starting with breakfast at 8.15.
The men’s club AGM is on Saturday 21st July starting at 9.30.
The club LTD AGM is on Saturday 15th September.

The never ending pennant season continues this Saturday with round 7.

Tournaments – The “Johnny” JAX Tyres 6 & 7 has just been run & won with 38 teams competing for $7800 prize money. The winning team from Bateau Bay were the only team to record 8 wins. The highest placed (5th) Port city side was Barry Davies – Les Thompson and Kevin Henwood.

The next Tournament is the PORT KIA prestige pairs on July 11 – 12 and 13th. Prize money is $6560.

The Pat Geary Open side trial will be held at Kempsey RSL on Sunday 1st July. Port City players selected are Greg Keft, Phil “cement” Baker, Callum Murray and Craig Donaldson.
