Update Friday 22 June - "Following two weeks of outstanding bowls action, the 2018 Australian Open has come to a close for another year on the Gold Coast.

Canadian and local favourite Ryan Bester secured an elusive Men's Singles crown and $10,000 prize purse in front of a boisterous crowd at the Broadbeach Bowls Club, defeating a gallant Sean Baker 21-18."


Update Thursday 21 June - "Rebecca Van Asch has been crowned with her first Australian Open singles crown following a nail-biting 21-19 victory over West Australian young gun Kristina Krstic in the Women's Singles final."

Update Wednesday 20 June - "Tasmania’s Rebecca Van Asch will look to secure an elusive national singles title on the penultimate day of the $250,000 prize-money Australian Open tomorrow."


Update Tuesday 19 June - "The 2018 Australian Open edges closer to Thursday and Friday's finals as a number of disciplines continue to face off in the Knockout stages."

Update Monday 18 June - "The 2018 Australian Open is fast-approaching the business end of the tournament with a number of huge results on Day 10 making for enthralling Knockout stages across multiple disciplines." 

Update Sunday 17 June - "Following three heated rounds of action today, the singles semi-finalists of the 2018 Australian Open have been confirmed."

Update Saturday 16 June - "The blue-ribbon men's and women's singles competitions have been whittled down to just 32 competitors each, and by this time tomorrow, after another three sessions of action, the names of both discipline's semi-finalists will be confirmed."

Update Friday 15 June - "32 Women's Fours combinations have progressed through to the Knockout stages of the 2018 Australian Open, beginning on Monday."

Update Thursday 14 June - "64 Men's Fours combinations have progressed through to the Knockout stages of the 2018 Australian Open, beginning tomorrow."

Update Wednesday 13 June - "The sectional rounds of both the Men's and Women's Pairs have been run and won with a number of high-profile combinations progressing through to next week's Knockouts."

Update Tuesday 12 June - "The final sections of Women's Singles and the beginning of the Men's Pairs sections headlined Day 4 of the 2018 Australian Open."

Update Monday 11 June - "It was a bumper Day 3 of the 2018 Australian Open with the final Men's Singles Sections and first Women's Singles Sections taking place."
