A Reminder that Port City greens and spectator areas are smoke free.

From the May Board News – Port City now boasts 457 active bowls members ( men & women) an increase from 393 in 2017.

Welcome on board to a new major sponsor of Port City men’s club, “Hanks Optometrists” by George & Matilda.

The JAX Tyres 6 & 7 was completed today (Sunday), perfect Port Macquarie winter weather, although the colder winds picked up on Sunday morning. I don’t have the full details at the moment, but the winners were Terry Orriss team, 2nd Peter Starkey team and 3rd Andrew Parsons team. Once again a great tournament.

The next tournament at Port City is the Port Kia Prestige Pairs, July 11 – 12 – 13. Prize money $6560.

Pennants – Round 7 on Saturday 23 June.
Teams are on the board so please tick your names to let the selectors know you are available.

The 2018 Club handicap triples quarter finals and semi finals have been rescheduled to Sunday 24th June, both am and pm.

Club and bowling membership was due 31st May. Memberships can still be renewed at reception.

Upcoming AGMs – Travelling Bowlers will be held on Sunday 15th July. Breakfast at 8.15, AGM at 9.00 am, followed by bowls.

Men’s Club AGM Saturday 21st July, at 9.30 am notice is on the board. There will be a couple of vacancies this year, so now is your chance to nominate for the committee and “put something” back into bowls. Club LTD AGM is Saturday 15 September.

Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm. Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Coppy’s butchers Block.
