HAPPENINGS
We will be holding a barefoot bowls competition on Friday 9th February between 6pm and 8pm. The event will be in support of Relay For Life, which aims to raise vital funds for Cancer Council’s research, prevention, information and support services. Cost will be $10 to register your team of 3. See Phil in the bowls office. Prizes will be for best (and worst) teams. A gold coin donation BBQ will also be available.
The dress code for ladies day will be in accordance with State policy. Smart casual or uniform can be worn.
There are still some 2018 Diaries left, see Lorraine Palmer if you’re interested. The cost is $4.
Just to remind our pennant players of Law 37.6 - If a bowl at rest on your rink is in danger of being moved by a bowl from a neighbouring rink, any player at your head must choose whether to: lift the bowl at rest to allow the other bowl to pass and then replace it, as long as this action would not influence the outcome of the head: stop the bowl from the neighbouring rink. If the bowl has been stopped was in its original course and was delivered on a bias that would have taken it back into its own rink, it must be replayed.
