Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or clean smart casual, with collared shirt and neat shorts/slacks. No tank tops or singlet

A Reminder that Port City greens and spectator areas are smoke free.

Bowls notice board – Even though we have a new larger notice board “for sale” notices are NOT to be placed on this board. Phil Baker and Chris Palmer only are authorized to place bowls notices on the board. Ant bowls items for sale can be placed in the locker room or by “word of mouth”

In the 2018 State Triples zone 14 the Port City team of Phil Baker – Callum Murray and Craig Donaldson (SS) will play the team from Park Beach (NS) I believe around 21st April.

The State Pairs Southern Section is being played at Port City Richard trow and Mark Parry went down to Peter Taylor and Greg Brims 17 – 18.C. Cooper and G. Irons lost 12 – 23 to C. Hazelwood and C. Howard.G. Keft and P. Baker won 23 – 11 over M. O’Neill and M. Williams. Callum Murray and Craig Donaldson won 20 – 16 over Greg Keft and Phil Baker.S. Matheson and C. Ainsworth won 23 – 14 over D. Hare and A. Hawkins and C. Griffith won 20 – 18 over G. Smith and R. Boulter.

State Senior Pairs at North Haven K. Ashdown and Mike Rand lost 22 – 16 to P. Smith and G. Worley.


State President Reserve Pair at SWR A. Fakes and W. Kempster lost 16 – 19 to B. King and P. Wright. D. Ramsay and P. Webster won 30 – 23 over P. Barnett and B. Horsfall.

In the Club Major Singles Greg Keft and Bruce Anderson will meet in one semi In the other Steve Matheson is to play the winner of John Hrabak and Callum Murray. Matty Bayes will play the winner of that game.

There are some mouth watering games coming up at Port City,

Senior over 60’s 2nd North Coats Trial at SWR Bruce Anderson and Ina Binder have been selected.

Side managers for pennants – if you are interested please talk to Bob Crombie.

As Thursday this week is the first Thursday of the month, it will be single entry paddle pop.

Marine Rescue Port Macquarie are running a raffle, tickets cost $5 and the prize is a set of bowls, any size , colour or brand. Tickets are available at the bowls kiosk and will be drawn on the Marine rescue bowls day on 25 March.

Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm. Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Coppy’s Butcher Block. Also club ltd badge draw at 7 and 8 pm currently stands at $14,000.
