Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or clean smart casual, with collared shirt and neat shorts/slacks. No tank tops or singlets

Bowls  Facebook page has been updated to show upcoming tournaments and carnivals, men’s and ladies for 2018. Helpful notice for your diary.

A Reminder that Port City greens and spectator areas are smoke free.

Hot weather policy – During this spell of hot humid weather social bowlers, if you are feeling stressed or unwell, please come off the greens – you do not need to complete your game. For competition etc games we have a “gadget” in the office which tracts temperature, humidity, wind etc to assist the controlling body of the day if it is safe or otherwise to continue.

In the 2018 State Triples Southern Section Final, played at Westport the Port City team of Phil Baker – Callum Murray and Craig Donaldson defeated the Westport team of Peter Stockham – Peter Taylor and Greg Brims 23 – 12. They will now meet the winners of the Northern Section.

The State Pairs Southern Section is being played at Port City on Saturday 24th February. Full draw is on the notice board.

Marine Rescue Port Macquarie are running a raffle, tickets cost $5 and the prize is a set of bowls, any size , colour or brand. Tickets are available at the bowls kiosk and will be drawn on the Marine rescue bowls day on 25 March.

Play is still under way in the men’s singles championship, now reaching the quarter finals. Greg Keft to play Mark Parry and Chris Thornton to take on Bruce Anderson. Other results to follow.

State senior singles championships – entries are open – nomination sheet is on the notice board.

Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm.  Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Coppy’s Butcher Block.  Also club ltd badge draw at 7 and 8 pm currently stands at $12,000
