Port City Men's BC Weekly News Report

Port City Men's Bowling Club news report for the week ending Sunday 27th April.

Friday was Anzac Day and a service was held on the greens at Port City which was well received. “Lest we Forget” until next year.

Wednesday :- $15:-A Buss, J Rock & J Piola . $7 :- P Ascott-Evans & H VanWoerkom.

A third and losing prize was kindly donated by Fernhill Tavern and was won by B Bale, D Erickson & T Murray. Thank you Peter.

Thursday PM:- $15:-C Munday & K Bramble. $7 :- P Harper & J Mitchell

Ron Osborn failed in the jackpot when he picked the wrong number. It is on again next Thursday and will be about $300 with only 14 numbers.

Friday :-Saw our Anzac Day celebrations with a good number of mixed bowlers to enjoy the day.The lucky bowlers were $15 :- J Boys, L Thompson & R Thompson. $7:- F Edwards, J Barry & M Edwards

Saturday :-.The ladies enjoyed the morning in Championship and social bowls while in the P.M., the men did battle in the pennants. It looks like Port City is going to get home in the 2’s with other teams with chances. Go hard boys and do us proud.

Sunday saw some more rain but we had a fairly good weekend overall. See you all next week Garry

Championships :- Only one game completed P Webster def P Flanagan in the Minor Singles.

For all the up and coming bowlers, there is free coaching available to everyone (12 year olds welcome). Just turn up to the bowls office Saturday mornings at 10:00 am .

Coaching:- The pennant players are reminded the Bryce Stewart coaching is still on Tuesdays so please attend if possible as per last year.
