Port City Men's Bowling Club news report for the week ending Sunday 13th April.

Wednesday :- $15:- B Smith, B Sharman & B Kemp.  $7 :- R Andrews & P Flanagan

Thursday  PM:- $15:-F Mulligan & W Francis.  $7 :- M Glasse & B Smith

K Bramble crashed & burned when he picked the wrong flipping number in the jackpot. It is on again next Thursday and will be about $170 with only 18 numbers.

Friday P.M. $15 :-T Hill & J Keller.  $7 :- D Warwick & R Towers

The jackpot of $600 was again elusive for J Sharp & P Harper but is on again next week with $600 & 6 numbers to choose from, Someone has got to win it.

Saturday PM :- The Pennant results were good with 6 teams out of 7 winning. Keep up the effort boys.
 

Sunday PM :-  We had 64 mixed  bowlers who braved the blowy conditions to play the wonderful game of bowls.

Lucky Bowlers :-1^st A Connell, G Connell & Nev Schwartz. 2^nd  J Harris, O Cook & E Dasczyk.  3^rd  K Hercus,  M Poulter  & E Hercus

Lucky Envelopes :- B Burge, R McCrow, R Holihan, M Carkeek & P Smith

The jackpot of $90 was won by K Edwards,  J Edwards & G Worley

Raffle:-M Green, G Hollis & G Hollis

Championships :- Mens Singles Final:-  Ken Paulsen def Greg Keft. The game was a one sided affair with Ken being too strong on the day. Never mind Greg, if its any consolation, there is always next year.

Mens Pairs:- J Hrabak & G Brims def C Campbell & K Slowey

Mens Triples :- L Scholz, J Keller & T Scholz def D Lomas, D Pascoe & R Carkeek.

G Platt(sub), P Webster & G Lawer def A White, J Cranna & G Ball in a hard fought torrid game where the underdogs got home.

For all the up and coming bowlers, there is free coaching available to everyone (12 year olds welcome). Just turn up to the bowls office Saturday mornings at 10:00 am.

Coaching:- The pennant players are reminded the Bryce Stewart coaching is still on Tuesdays so please  attend if possible as per last Year.
