Port City Men's BC Weekly News Report


Port City Men's Bowling Club news letter for the week ending Sunday 23rd March.

Wednesday :- $15 :-Bill Greenaway & Peter Gunn.  $7 :- S.Colharn , J.Rodick & Brian Collis.

Thursday  PM:- $15:- B Collis & P Barry.  $7 :- B Greenaway (not Bill again)& T Robinson
 In spite of a valiant effort, J Breen & P Flanangan failed in their attempt to guess the right number for the jackpot of $320. It is on again next Thursday and will be about $400 with only 18 numbers.

Friday P.M. Bowls were washed out but will be on again next week.
The jackpot is on again next week with $600 & 9 numbers to choose from, good luck boys.

Saturday PM :- Pennants were on again on Saturday and the results were reasonably pleasing with 4 out of the 7 sides being victorious. Well done boys and keep it going.

Sunday PM :-  54 bowlers enjoyed the Lovely Autumn weather with the prizes going to :- 1st :-M Edwards, J Barry & F Edwards.  2nd :- G Hollis,  J Bird & B Hicks .  3rd :-  A Connell, G Connell & N Schwartz.
Lucky Envelopes :- P Brady, Z Ackmens, D Gudgeon, J Carter & K Carmody.
Raffle :- T Millward, T Field & J Wyper 
The jackpot was won by 2 teams, J Ebbeck, B Standen & K Hercus and the other team C Banks, J Gauld & T Millward.

For all the up and coming bowlers, there is free coaching available to everyone (12 year olds welcome). Just turn up to the bowls office Saturday mornings at 10:00 am .

Coaching:- The pennant players are reminded the Bryce Stewart coaching is still on Tuesdays so please  attend if possible as per last Year.

Don’t forget the Friday Night  Monster Meat Raffle buy $5 get $5 free ,Tickets go on sale from 5pm .And our after bowls raffle on Sunday of $1,000 of Meat Trays Tickets go on sale from 4.30 pm .
