It was a perfect autumn day on Tuesday 24th for the
playing of the Club Pairs Championship. President Shirley welcomed Mary Norman
and Dorothy Hopkins back to bowls.

We welcomed Hastings Haven President Maureen
Secretary Carole and Publicity Officer Margaret at lunchtime to present the
flags and badges to the successful Pennant teams Grade 1, 2 and 5. First on the
agenda was the presentation of a Super Veterans Badge to Past President Dorothy
Hopkins. We then proceeded to the flagpole for the flag ceremony. Hastings
Haven President Maureen congratulated all recipients and wished all players
much success in the Regional Play-offs on May 15th/16th.
There will be no ladies social bowls for the week commencing 30th April as the men are holding the Port City Classic Singles. Come along and watch some top bowls.
State Triples will be played on May 8th so check
the board to see where you are drawn to play. Also non playing members morning
tea will be held that day so we look forward to seeing many of you at 10.30 am.
Life Member Robyn Biddle was wished a very happy
birthday.
