EXCITING CHANGES COMING TO STATE JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

"The Bowls NSW State Junior Championships have been revamped and will now feature seven categories across the event, which will be held at Warilla Bowling Club from 15-19 April. The singles discipline will now feature four separate categories – Boys U18 Singles, Girls U18 Singles, Boys U15 Singles and Girls U15 Singles."

"Bowls Australia (BA), by virtue of the ‘Laws of the Sport of Bowls – Crystal Mark Fourth Edition’, is charged with the approval of footwear for use on Australian bowls greens.

Since their listing as approved footwear on bowls.com.au on 16 June 2023, broad feedback has been received from the bowls community on the “Puma Retaliate 2 – Full white sole only” shoe which raised concerns relating to the shoe’s meeting of the criteria set out in the approval guidelines."

Update to Open State Pennant COP

 

"Under the previous Conditions of Play for Open State Pennant Grades 1 – 7, players with a nominated club other than a NSW Club could participate in this competition after completing an Interstate Pennant Declaration. This ruling enabled two non-NSW players to participate in the top grade for any given club. In addition, the COP was not clear as to the limit of non-NSW players able to play in any subsequent grades beneath this top grade."
