The final of the Handicap Pairs was played on Tuesday between Steve Hall/Steve McGregor and Ian Hodgkinson/Dave Jones, with the two Steves claiming victory 32-11. Steve Hall and Steve McGregor gave a fantastic display of draw bowling, playing some unbelievable bowls, to keep Jonesy and Hodgo out of the game. Well done to the “Two Steves”. Commiserations to Jonesy and Hodgo.
In Wednesday Social Bowls Dave Harvey, Darren Darcy and Barrie Isaac took out first prize, with Adrian Hilton, Budgie Brecard and Stewart Rogan grabbing the Runners Up spot. Ray Pantlin played so well, that there is a Stewards Enquiry into his performance. Voucher winners were Steve McGregor, Andrew Richards, Brian Bradley and Pete Griffith.
Jeff Wylie had an operation on his back on Wednesday. We all send our best wishes, and hope he will be back on his feet soon.
Congratulations to Gary Hamilton for his selection in the Zone 14 Team. Well done mate!
In the Friday Jackpot Triples, the half jackpot was won by Greg Darcy, Ray Allan and Peter Mauger. Voucher winners were Steve McGregor (again), Dee Squires, Viv Gunter and Ray Allan. Mick Ashford played a wrong bias bringing cheers from everyone (see photo).
