Weekly Newsletter - 30th December, 2023

Reminder: Wednesday Social Bowls will be played at 9AM during the hotter months, and commences at this time from 3rd of January 2024.

In Wednesday Social Bowls held on 20th December Bob Carr, Cliff Kerr and Rod Quirk were the winning team, with Tich Bergin, Chicka Thompson and Gary Hamilton getting the Runners Up Prize. Voucher winners were Peter Griffith, Keith Collins, Darren Darcy and Gary Hamilton.

In Wednesday Social Bowls held on 27th December Adam Behrmann, Mick Ashford and Steve McGregor took out top spot, with Rod Quirk, Stewart Rogan and Wayne Thrussell grabbing the Runners Up spot.

Friday Social Bowls were held on 29th December, with the committee kindly giving 2 drinks vouchers to all players. No winners were declared as everyone was busy getting their free drinks Voucher winners were Pat O’Connor, Barrie Isaac, David Jones and Chicka Thompson.

The Sledge of the Day went to Rod Quirk for “By the time Hodgo got into 2nd grade, he had his full driving license”. Hodgo gets right of reply next week lol.

Bowls this week are Wednesday Social starting at 9am (names in by 8am), and Friday Jackpot Triples, names in by 11.30 for a 12.30 start mufti dress. Add you name to the sheets in the Club Room, or contact Chicka 0423787325, Griffo 0413052684 or text Frank 0417698899.

Well, as another year draws to a close, we can safely say what a great year of bowls it has been. Next year should be a ripper too. Stay safe and have a great New Year.
