Weekly News

Today we had a great turnout of 68 players, including our minor pair’s players.

Congratulations to Judy Brady for winning the first ever "Hastings Haven District Challenge" Judy won the singles event. Congratulations to our Fours entry that also did very well.

Well done to Sonny Willis and Cath Woodham for taking out Minor pairs. Sonny and Cath defeated Kim Stewart and Wendy Kennedy.

Encouragement Day 4s is coming up 27 November. Social bowls will be running as usual on the day.

2019 Diaries are now on sale. Lorraine Palmer has all info on diaries.

The Christmas party sheet is now up. You can enter as a team or as a single entry. The cost is $15 per head which includes lunch. We are hoping that the green fees will be donated to the Salvation Army. We are also taking donations for the Salvation Army of Non-perishable food items gifts, toys and wrapping paper (please place in the box provided).

We are always looking for more concert acts for our Christmas party. If you have any ideas for a skit or mime and feel like having a bit of fun, please don’t hesitate to contact the committee.

The District events entries are now open and will close on 11 December.

Hasting Bowls Centre will be permanently closed at the end of January. You will have to be quick, if you need red pants, shorts, etc., to get your order in before they close. 

Next year we are planning to hold a Q & A to help everyone to keep up to date.
