Weekly News
Today’s weather was gorgeous and we had a great time out on the green.
Congratulations to Sonny Willis for taking out the Minor singles championship for 2018. Sonny defeated W Kennedy last Tuesday. It was a great effort and well done to both players.
Encouragement Day 4s is coming up 27 November. We need a few reserves for the day. See Margaret Doyle if you are interested.
The Pennant trial day was a great success. Thanks to all those who supported this new initiative.
2019 Diaries are now on sale. Lorraine Palmer has all info on diaries.
The Christmas party is coming up quickly. We are taking donations for the Salvation Army again this year. Donations can be Non-perishable food items gifts, toys and wrapping paper. We also need more concert acts. (The sillier the better). If you have any ideas contact the committee.
This Thursday 15 Nov and Friday 16th, our 4s and Judy Brady our singles player, will be representing Port City in the "Hastings Haven District Challenge". If you have the time to spare it would be great to have a few spectators to cheer our girls on.
The District events entries are now open and will close on 11 December.
Hasting Bowls Centre will be permanently closed by February next year. You will be able to get red pants, shorts, etc., before they close. Players will need
to order soon if they wish to do this. If you need anything after then you will have to go online.
After next week’s game some of our Club's Umpires will be holding measuring practice.
